1. Acceptance of terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Teract Chrome browser extension ("Teract", "the Extension", "we", "our", or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please uninstall the Extension and discontinue use immediately.

2. Description of service

Teract is an AI-powered Chrome browser extension that acts as your reputation coach — it learns your voice, reads your feeds, and helps you engage authentically across social media. The Extension provides:

• Voice learning: Teract analyzes your writing style, tone, vocabulary, and sentence patterns from your past posts to generate content that sounds like you
• Personal context: You provide your career history, domain expertise, and personal stories so Teract can reference your real experience in generated content
• AI-generated comments and replies: Multiple comment styles (add value, share experience, ask questions, and more) tailored to LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Reddit, Threads, Medium, BlueSky, Hacker News, and Product Hunt
• Post creation: Generate original posts from article URLs, YouTube videos, images, multiple source links, or your own ideas — adapted to each platform
• Daily intelligence: An AI Coach that scans your feeds, scores trending conversations for relevance, and delivers a personalized action plan for where to engage
• Contextual understanding: AI vision for images, video transcript processing, article scraping from shared links, and thread analysis to generate informed responses

Teract generates content suggestions only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all content before it is posted. The Extension never posts content on your behalf without your explicit action — every comment and post requires your click to publish.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Teract. By using the Extension, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

4. Account registration

To use Teract, you must create an account using a valid email address or through supported OAuth providers. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at admin@teract.ai if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

5. User responsibilities

You are fully responsible for all content posted using Teract, including AI-generated suggestions you choose to publish. You agree to:

• Review all generated content before publishing and ensure it is accurate and appropriate
• Comply with the terms of service, community guidelines, and policies of every platform where you use Teract
• Not use Teract for spam, harassment, impersonation, misinformation, hate speech, or any unlawful purpose
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute the Extension or its underlying technology
• Not use Teract to generate content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others

6. Intellectual property

Content generated by Teract at your direction is yours to use, publish, and modify as you see fit. The Teract software, branding, design, AI models, and all underlying technology remain the exclusive property of Teract and its licensors. Nothing in these terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Extension beyond the limited right to use it in accordance with these terms.

7. Subscription and billing

Teract offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are processed and managed through our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel beforehand
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us
• Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis; contact us at admin@teract.ai for refund inquiries
• We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice to existing subscribers

8. Third-party platforms

Teract operates as a browser extension that interacts with third-party social media platforms. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Reddit, Meta (Threads), Medium, BlueSky, Hacker News, Product Hunt, or any other platform. Your use of these platforms is governed by their respective terms of service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted compatibility with any third-party platform, as platform changes may affect Extension functionality.

9. AI-generated content disclaimer

Content generated by Teract is produced by artificial intelligence and may contain inaccuracies, biases, or errors. AI-generated content does not constitute professional, legal, financial, or medical advice. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy and appropriateness of any content before publishing it.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Teract at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms or are using the Extension in a manner that could harm Teract, its users, or third parties. You may terminate your account at any time by uninstalling the Extension and requesting account deletion by contacting admin@teract.ai.

11. Limitation of liability

Teract is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teract shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or reputation, arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Extension
• Content generated by the Extension that you choose to publish
• Account restrictions, suspensions, or bans imposed by third-party platforms
• Any unauthorized access to your account or data resulting from your failure to secure your credentials

Our total liability for any claims arising under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Teract in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Modifications to terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and may notify you through the Extension. Your continued use of Teract after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Teract shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal proceedings.
